Hey there! I've been a bit MIA and by that, I mean I haven't posted anything in over a year. Oops. Let's just say that life got the best of me and I have been pretty busy with the big changes in my life. So here's a little update and an apology for being gone for longer than I had anticipated.

1. Graduation

Leading up to graduation had me stressed. If I wasn't using my energy working on my senior thesis, then I was working. If I wasn't doing either, I was exhausted from stressing over all the fine details of what was to come. Just thinking about the things I needed to get done before graduating was tiring. Despite all the stress, walking on graduation day was so rewarding. It's rather bittersweet thinking that I am officially done with school. I mean, its crazy thinking that going to school every year has been so constant in my life and now I'm done. I keep feeling like I'm forgetting to do something, but I'm not going to lie, having some more time is great too. Not to mention no stress about homework, exams and projects is extremely nice.

2. Full Time Interior Designer

This was something I was worried about leading up to graduation. I had this all planned out from day one of freshman year. It was engraved into my brain that I'd find an internship my senior year and land a job through my internship. I didn't want to wait too long before finding a full time job considering all the loan payments that would kick in 6 months after graduation. Oddly enough, my life ended up similar to how I had hoped. It was much faster than I expected, but I managed to find an internship and eventually transition into a full time position. I honestly don't know how my life would be now if I had not been given this opportunity. I've been working there for 6 months as a full time interior designer.. Within that time, I have learned a lot and gained so much knowledge and experience.

3. Bought A Car

My new car

It's been a long time coming and after driving my old car for a good five years, I finally got a new car. It was time for an upgrade especially since I was commuting a far distance for work. As great as it sounds though, car hunting was stressful. After a few weeks of stressing over finding the right car at the right price, I finally found a car. It has been great having a new car with fancy features and not having to worry so much about the condition of my car.

From graduation, to getting a full time job, to purchasing my first big girl car, all of these things and so much more have taken up most of my time. It's no excuse for why I haven't been around or posting up much, but I just wanted to share a bit of my life and update you on what's been going on. I know I am very late on the whole "new years resolution" thing, but I am going to try harder at finding the time to do things I once loved and hopefully I can share them with you as well. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and keep an eye out for my next post. I have a lot of goals I want to accomplish in 2019 and I have a feeling this is going to be my year. Thanks for sticking around to the end of this post!

With much love and thanks,

Barbara :)
